I could do with an angel right now,
Someone to talk to.
Someone to stop me wanting to die,
Someone who will not laugh at me
Should I want to cry.
I look out of the window
At the cold uncaring night,
Hoping that my angel
Is among those frozen lights.
I’m drowning now my angel
In a life full of sea,
Won’t you come and help my heart,
Before it gives up on me?
I know I have never asked before,
Too proud to want to believe,
But I have grown heavy with air
And I can no longer breathe.
I badly need an angel right now,
I’ve never asked before
For someone to make me free.
Yes, I badly need an angel right now,
Will you be the one for me?

Actually playing the UK version of “Cats” but couldn’t find that on the Amazon pop-up
I’d like to be your angel but I’d look like a fairy in wings. This is a real poingnant piece. All I can say is peace to you, my friend.

You know, my sweet, the path to Blue Cottage~for I have shown you~
Blessings~
The three-headed Lord Clownapple, eh?
Lovely poem. If you find your angel – can you ask him/her where mine is hiding please
Its sad to hear all the cries for help and we all seem to have some of those stifled inside of us. If it isn’t physical it’s mental or abusive. God knows we can all use some angels and in abundance. Your words are not going un-noticed.
From this poem, I know you must understand how often it is that I walk into a patient’s room and I get to be their angel. I guess that’s why I don’t quit my low-paying jobs and do something else for a real living wage. To me, I’m really living, doing the work I do, even though I’d be a pauper on what I make if my dear husband wasn’t the major financial support of this family. Hugs, Claudia
Touching and lovely.

That is beautiful, LP.
Comfort can be found in the most unexpected places. I hope you find it, I truly do.
You are in my thoughts dear man, Angie
I went looking for God,
but I found you instead.
I wish you luck,
and i wish you love,
in the days ahead.

I think when everything is torn away from you and you are left barenaked and cold, God is always there with open arms and love, unlike the love of the other kind (women).
peace and good luck

…lonely and full of longing, and beautiful, like a lullaby…
RYC. Was the war in Iraq about oil or the currency of oil. SodamnInsane was “conspiring” with Germany and France to get the UN to approve selling his oil in Euros. Norway and UK are under pressure to do the same. This will likely be a condition of Russia joining the EU in the next 10 years.
The dollar is artificially high, even at record lows, because every country has to keep reserves of dollars to by Euros. If oil was able to be purchased in either dollars or Euros, this would create a massive devaluation in the dollar.
The thing is, though the EU is nominally for this and the US is against it, from what I read, it would probably hit the EU economy harder than the US economy.
I have never seen this discussed in the US press, but seen it discussed from time to time in the UK and Europe.
Go figure!
Do you think you’ll ever find that angel? I hope that you do. (Perhaps in the cast of CATS?)

I loved the poem by the way…
Take care…hugs
I hope you find your angel. Just beware that if you find your angel out in the frozen lights she may be too cold to warm you. Human angels are hard to come by, if they do exist. But we all deserve someone to be there to comfort us, even when it is hard. I am sorry you don’t have that.
Many many warm wishes.
Since you have been my “angel unaware”, the least I can do is be one for you. Listen for the harps, Terry!
I saw “Cats” in London after treating my friend, Leslie, to lunch at the Ritz, coming out with just half an hour to make the first curtain when we were blocked by the international gay rights parade. After trying to get across without success, I grabbed Leslie’s hand and joined the parade till I could get to the other side. The gays furiously whistled at me, but nonetheless we made the curtain. I was one of those who was privileged to be sung to by one of the cast. What an unforgettable memory!!
Hi there!
Thanks for commenting!
I love your poems!
Painkillers are illegal if you don’t have a prescription for them. So I imagine that’s how they deemed Courtney Love’s possession of them as so.
Even celebrities should have to do things the right way – even she needs them – she should still go through her own doctor to get them.
I just think it’s crazy for her to think anyone thinks she didn’t “assault” this woman, she has a reputation for it, at least. She’s done it before, and been convicted. What makes this situation different? No one but her,the ex-boyfriend,and the woman assaulted witnessed it, so she thinks she can get away with it? Most times authorities are too lenient with celebs anyway. My opinion of course.
Thanks for stopping by!
Take care!

This is excellent Terry. I really do love reading your work. I had to catch up with everything on this page on your site. I’ve been a bit busy with mounting family responsibilities due to my fathers condition.
I feel a considerably more at ease after reading your poems here, and that is something much needed for me right now.
I’m having to visit my doctor on thursday for stress related blood pressure problems. I wasn’t feeling quite right yesterday, so I stopped at my local fire station and had a medic check my blood pressure; I now know my BP is 190 over 100. So I guess you could say that I’m more than a tad stressed.
Peace.
That was sure to stur them up…
a two handed pull on the strings ..
I am looking foward for that game
and will join you soon…
if I can get my head above water…I hate grading papers!

we will have some words
BRILLIANT, I am holding that comment close to my heart as I don’t hear it often. YOU CALLED MY POEM BRILLIANT. You are so sweet.
I think most of your poems are BRILLIANT. They come from some very intricate places inside you.
Regards,
… you struck me hard with this, terry … it’s beautiful and painful and cutting and makes me want to hug you … *smiles* … beautiful and amazing … and i see why you’re so popular … and i’d love to know how to write as well as you do …
~ the angel
Has it snowed over there yet?
You could easily make an angel.
You already have a angel, he is inside you, not outside. He is the one who makes you write.
ole terry needs a drink or maybe a doobie, or maybe a woman callin his name. hehe i jest but i think this piece is too blue even for me to face right now.
take care
=)
I could never follow Snowshoes comment. It’s wild.
You do have a point with the sirens…and the traffic can be a problem at times. Everything has good things and bad things associated with them…I guess that is a big bad thing.
Hope you have a great day….love the lyrics to the song…and yea…thinking I could use a talk with an angel right about now myself.
Make this a great day!!!
I’m not much on angels, but you will certainly be in my thoughts.
Angels can be as easily accessible as a pint o beer! (Is there REALLY a difference?) Beautiful poem, though, sincerely.
Well, I’m sure your angel’s somewhere, looking for you…
I’m glad you liked it.
You’re welcome.
lisa
your angel is always with you dear one…huggs…beautiful moving poem…Sassy

… thank you so much for your kind words and support … it means a lot coming from someone of your calibur … my writing is my passion, and hopefully one day i’ll be able to share it all with the world … there is a lot of experience behind my words that i think may help some identify … i’m not sure … and i don’t pretend to think i am an excellent writer who can inspire and connect millions of people … because i doubt i’ll ever do that, or that anyone could … but i can try … i aim high, and hopefully will take off flying soon … with people like you in my corner, i know i will … *smiles* … have a great weekend! …

Just home..just in…would love to be your angel…thanks for asking for one…now you are stuck..you are going to have the Nanny sending all sorts of white light, prayers, and just plain common sense love your way! We have a very lonely world when we get ill and not ever going to be that other persona again. Wish we had enjoyed it more. Does not seem to be a bank account for storing up health. But there is a bank account for storing up love and friendship….and I am just one of many who care

I freakn love pineapple
I love this one best, so far. I think we all need an angel, don’t we?
I loved this poem because it’s very good but it also is sad because I think it comes from your heart. I’m sorry that you’ve been out of sorts lately. I think you need the flowers more than I do.
